Pop Tarts: Store Wars: Victoria Beckham's Men's Line Delayed?

David Beckham was tipped to be the face (and body) of Victoria Beckham’s upcoming men’s line in her dVb collection, but it seems like he’s going to have to hold off.
According to the men's buyer at Kitson boutique, Vic's men's collection was supposed to have arrived in August, in time for fall, but the line has been delayed due to a poor response from retailers willing to sell the merchandise.
"In February, we picked up the men's line as a favor to support Victoria. They agreed to ship to us by end of July/August," the buyer said. "The showroom also told us that at that point we were the only ones to have picked it up."

A rep for Beckham's line has since denied that the line is in trouble and says that reports otherwise are inaccurate. The rep added that the men's collection is being manufactured with hopes of hitting stores by the holiday period — which was the initial intention. According to Vic's camp, the response from retailers has been very positive.
But this isn't the first time the pop princess' fashion career has gone head-to-head with the Hollywood-based boutique.
Kitson sparked store wars earlier this year when it dumped the denim line due to poor sales and Victoria's refusal to make a promotional appearance.

Since the debacle, Kitson said Victoria decreased the price-point of her product by half from $290 to $140 (although the jeans themselves haven’t changed), and that various outlets across Europe are insisting Vic make a mandatory promotional appearance.
But it seems Mrs. Beckham has high hopes of going from casual to couture. In a recent interview with WWD magazine, Posh said she wants to show a high-end collection at New York Fashion Week and is launching a prestige perfume in only 1,000 selected specialty and department stores in September.
Vic's BFF, Eva Longoria, is rumored to be planning a high-end fashion line of her own and is still seeking business advice from the British beauty despite all the dVb drama. A rep for Longoria was not aware of her plans for a fashion collection.

Meanwhile, Kitson confirmed to Pop Tarts that it no longer does business with Victoria, and the store's owner, Fraser Ross, is upset about U.K. Glamour's recent article that said her line sold out at Kitson within the first two hours because "it isn't true." (The magazine didn't respond for comment.)
So while the boutique doesn't stock dVb anymore, it doesn't look like the war is over just yet.
David Archuleta Having Trouble Finding Sane Girlfriend

"American Idol" runner-up David Archuleta is the new teen/tween pin-up, but the talented 17-year-old is struggling to find that special someone who doesn’t start screaming when he’s around.
"I’m not dating anyone. I’m still pretty young but I would still … nah, yeah," he stammered as we caught up with him backstage before the Idol Tour concert in Los Angeles on Monday.
"Right now it’s a matter of focusing on the right things, and that would be distracting for me. But maybe afterward when things start to settle more, I’m sure I will run into someone. But I’m meeting all these girls now and they’re like, 'Hi, David!'" he said with a mock gasp. "How do you really get to know someone when they’re all loopy like that?"

And how are things going in David Cook’s relationship with former "Idol" finalist Kimberly Caldwell, we asked?
"Things are great," he responded with a coy smile.
But speaking of "Idol," Rihanna made a guest appearance on Spanish "Idol" on Tuesday and performed her hit single "Hate That I Love You." But somehow the conversation turned into whether or not she’d pose for Playboy.

"I’m only 20, so my mother would kill me if I posed nude," Rihanna said. "When I did that metallic body paint stuff for my video, I didn’t do it to show my body. I did it [because it] was a cool visual, unexpected. And it looked hot."
Bai Ling and Who Get Cozy? Brody Jenner Buys How Much Alcohol?

Actress Bai Ling was out and about in Sin City last week, with none other than "Titanic" star Billy Zane. Ling and Zane were caught getting very up close and personal while sipping martinis together at a VIP table at PURE last Wednesday.
Ling and Zane were among more than 300 guests attending the after-party for Don Cheadle's annual "Ante Up for Africa" poker tournament that benefits The Enough Project and Not on Our Watch, two charities dedicated to raising awareness and aid for the people of Darfur.
We're told Cheadle was the ultimate host as he hung with as many party people as possible, including comedian George Lopez, brothers Ben and Casey Affleck and Matt Damon (who reportedly couldn't stop doting and fussing over his pregnant wife, Luciana).

After hitting up the various beach house parties in Malibu on Friday, Brody Jenner headed to Vegas for a boys’ weekend with his step-sister's boyfriend, Reggie Bush. We’re told the two spent their Sunday in the sun at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino’s infamous pool party "Rehab" before busting a move into Body English’s Sunday School soiree later that night.
Brody obviously has quite the bountiful bank balance, because he reportedly spent $10,000 on 10 bottles of Dom Perignon and tipped each of the waitresses $500.
Rapper Ray-J was also spotted reveling in the Vegas limelight on Tuesday night at hotspot LAX. The former sex-tape star reportedly grabbed hold of the mic and asked where all the sexy ladies were at.

J-Lo’s Not Hot on the Menu
She has millions of music fans, but it looks like new mama Jennifer Lopez doesn’t have enough foodie fans. After six years of service, J-Lo’s beloved Latin restaurant Madre’s has closed its doors.
According to TMZ, the Pasadena, Calif.-based business has a sign posted on its doors stating that it will be "closed until further notice."

We’re told the songstress rarely made an appearance at her family-run restaurant.
