Plane Slams Into Arizona Mountain, Killing 2
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}Authorities on Friday were combing through the wreckage of a small plane that crashed into a heavily forested mountain about eight miles outside Sedona on Thursday afternoon, killing two people and injuring a third.
Coconino County Sheriff's Office spokesman Gerry Blair says officials are working to identify the victims who were on board the single-engine Piper Cherokee when it crashed and burned.
A helicopter flew the survivor to Flagstaff Medical Center with serious injuries.

Federal Aviation Administration spokesman Mike Fergus says the plane had three people on board. It was being tracked on radar but was flying on visual flight rules, which don't require a flight plan to be filed.
