Nadya Suleman, who has made headlines in the past few weeks after giving birth to octuplets in southern California, says it has been more than eight years since she last had sex – despite having 14 kids under the age of 7.
Suleman insisted her last date was well before her oldest son was born seven years ago as a result of in vitro fertilization. She said she has no intention of dating until the octuplets are 18.
In her first U.K. interview, the 33-year-old from Whittier, Calif., said she met her children’s sperm donor, David Solomon, at a nightclub.
They went to the movies once, and Suleman said she decided she didn’t want him as her boyfriend, but rather for the father of her children.
Indeed, Solomon has donated sperm for all 14 of Suleman’s children, she said, and she talks to him just once a year, but he does not see the children.

“Boyfriends?” Suleman said. “I think I’d have to be extremely selfish. I cannot maintain a social life and be a mother.”
Suleman married Marcos Gutierrez in 1996 at the age of 21, whom she met in college, she said, and they stayed together for four years, but “I was more in love with wanting children.”
