Several counties in North Dakota are battling sewer problems after a wet spring caused widespread flooding.
Both Jamestown and Valley City counties have put together committees to tackle the city's sanitary sewer system problems.
Officials are now trying to find ways other than using city sales tax money to repair the sewer system. Officials held their first meeting last week.

In Valley City, work has been done to ensure at least six buildings won't suffer sewage backups like they did during the flooding. The buildings include the Police Department, City Auditorium and Barnes County Historical Society Museum.
