Mickey Mouse (search) made his big-screen debut in 1928, but his image can now be seen in a much smaller frame — one of four new 37-cent stamps with a Disney theme that were unveiled Wednesday.
Four stamps with the theme "The Art of Disney: Friendship," were displayed amid fireworks outside Sleeping Beauty Castle (search) at Disneyland. Additional Disney-themed stamps will be released in the future.
Bambi and Thumper appear in one stamp. Pinocchio and Jiminy Cricket (search) are in another. Mufasa and Simba from "The Lion King" have their own stamp and Mickey appears with Donald Duck and Goofy.

It is the third time Disney has been featured on U.S. stamps. A portrait of Walt Disney surrounded by children was featured on a 1968 stamp. Snow White made her appearance on a stamp in 1998.
