More Dangerous Weather to Strike Plains
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}More significant storms are predicted to strike the Plains Saturday afternoon and evening. The same storm system that produced a massive supercell tornado that destroyed a Kansas town, killing seven, is moving into the Dakotas and northern Texas. The epicenter of the storm is over southwestern Nebraska and western Kansas, according to the Weather Channel.
Tornadoes, large hail the size of softballs and damaging wind are predicted to strike those areas. Overnight, thunderstorms are expected to spread into western Oklahoma and into the Texas panhandle.

{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}The storms are expected to stay over the already heavily damaged areas of Kansas, bringing up to 3 inches of rain. Flash flood warnings have already been issued in some areas.
The NWS Storm Prediction Center issued tornado watches for portions of northwest Iowa, southwest corner of Minnesota, parts of northeast Nebraska, parts of southeast and south central South Dakota until 7 p.m. CDT.
