A 6-year-old Arizona boy was grounded by his mother after he was hit by a police car while riding his bike, MyFOXPhoenix.com reported.
Recently released surveillance video of the Nov. 2 accident shows Jason Justice and his sister Jessica riding their bikes through an apartment complex parking lot. When the Phoenix police car slowly approaches the two, Jessica veers away while Jason continues straight ahead, ultimately getting hit and pushed a short distance by the car.
His mother, Virginia Justice, doesn't totally blame the cop for the accident. Jason could have avoided getting hit.

"I said, 'Why didn't you just keep turning like Jessica did once you saw him?'" she told MyFOXPhoenix.com. She said her son told her he didn't think he could turn in time and figured he could pedal past the car without getting hit.
Justice said her son is grounded until he gets his bike fixed and starts wearing a helmet.
