To Texas high school cheerleaders, initiation ceremonies are nothing new, but Houston media are reporting a hazing ritual that is anything but routine.
According to the Houston Chronicle, junior varsity cheerleaders at Morton Ranch High School in Katy, Texas, were kidnapped, bound with duct tape and thrown into a swimming pool last Friday morning. According to Eyewitness News in Houston, the cheerleaders went even further.
"When a girl [expletive] in her pants and puts her pants on another girl's head, that's just disgusting," a junior varsity team member’s sister said in a report by Eyewitness News.

The sister said 14 senior cheerleaders, a student manager and the team mascot picked the underclassmen up early Friday morning for an initiation ceremony.
“Once you duct tape someone’s hands, blindfold them, throw them in a pool, start flicking their body parts, that’s way too far,” she reportedly told the station.
A parent of one of the juniors complained to the school's principal, school spokesman Steve Stanford told the Houston Chronicle, and the district launched an investigation the following Monday.
The district is awaiting legal advice before it releases any information resulting from the investigation, according to the Chronicle.
Tracie MacIntyre, whose 16-year-old daughter was among the junior cheerleaders, told the Chronicle she worried about the fallout of the initiation ceremony.
"Her life is cheerleading," she said. "Everything she wants for her birthday is related to cheerleading. She even wants to be a cheerleader in college."
