Man Escapes Burning House in Georgia

A man has escaped from a burning house in Marietta.
Cobb County firefighters say the house was engulfed in flames when they arrived at the home at about 5:20 a.m. Sunday. Cobb County Fire and Emergency Lt. Dan Dupree says the fire was reported by a newspaper delivery person.
Dupree says at about 5:45 a.m., 911 received a call from a man who said he was inside the house. Dupree says the man somehow escaped and firefighters used GPS technology to find him behind the house.

The man was not immediately identified by authorities. He was taken to an Atlanta area hospital and his condition was no immediately known.
Dupree says the house was destroyed by the fire.
