Kirstie Alley says despite gaining back all the weight she lost as a Jenny Craig spokeswoman that she is ready to work to put on a bikini again.
The actress, in an interview on Thursday’s “Oprah Winfrey Show,” told the talk show host that she was sorry for the people that she let down that she was ready to get fit.
According to a report in People magazine, Alley says she is inspired by Michelle Obama and strives to have arms like hers.
“Don’t you look around and see what you want to look like?” Alley, 58, asked Winfrey. “Im like, ‘Look, Michelle Obama’s guns. I could have those arms,” she said.
She also said she "about died" when she saw her replacement spokeswoman Valerie Bertinelli in a bikini on the cover of People magazine and in a new ad for Jenny Craig.
"I felt I was married to someone and they left me for Gisele," she said. "It was dazzling, it wasn't just good ... I was dying. There is no comparison in my reveal and hers."
Alley attributes her weight gain – after a drastic weight loss that included an appearance on “Oprah” in a bikini – was a result of a lack of urgency.

“I just said, ‘I’m going to cut myself some slack.’ Big mistake.”
The actress also faults her decision to turn her gym into a dining room.
“I thought, ‘You know what I need? You know what I haven’t had a lot of? I haven’t had a lot of dinner parties and company,’” she said.
Her ultimate goal, as she told Oprah, is to drop 80 pounds and get into a bikini again.
