LOS ANGELES – Kathy Griffin is could be toying in the political arena if there is any truth to her own rumors regarding Bristol Palin’s baby daddy…
"Levi Johnston is my lover fiancé. I have a baby bump. I told him he should do playgirl, gay porn - he has to pay bills like everybody else," she ranted at the recent Entertainment Tonight Party. "I think he might still be in love with Bristol. She is my nemesis because we are both fighting over the baby daddy. It’s like an episode of ‘Maury Povich’."
On the note of politics, Griffin also offered an explanation as to why Tinseltown tends to skew well, to the left.
"Hollywood hates on Republicans because they feel the Republicans and conservatives are about repression and Hollywood is about expression. That sounds kind of smart," she said.
However her show business counterparts had different theories on the issue.
"They (Hollywood peeps) don't hate Republicans. They hate people from the Whig party. There were no Republican’s way back then, it was the Whig party," said "The Soup" star Joel McHale while "Dexter" dame Julie Benz responded:
"Maybe the question should be why do the Republicans hate on Hollywood?"
Meanwhile, Kathy Lee Gifford isn’t so impressed with how he’s performed in the top job so far.
"I would like to see him listen more to Middle America. They're trying to have their voice heard but they're being dismissed as a mob or Astroturf or different things. I have quite a few friends who are in those tea parties and it is not people who are Republican or Democrat, they're Americans who are deeply concerned about how much in debt we are going to be as a nation," Gifford told Tarts. "I would love to hear him listen to them more. It is a huge issue and I don't want to ruin (my daughter's) future because she's going to be saddled with my bills. That's a bipartisan thing. The Democrats don't do it and the republicans don't do it. We need to go back to the old fashioned way of you pay for it as you go along."
COLUMNIST CORRECTION: This column ran earlier today with some quotes from Kathie Lee Gifford wrongly attributed to Kathy Griffin. I regret the transcription error, and it has been corrected in this version of the column.
Mila Kunis: 'I Ripped a Piece of My Neck Out!'
Ever noticed that scar on the side of Mila Kunis’s neck? Well, it turns out that that was a souvenir she took away from Hawaii after filming the Judd Apatow flick "Forgetting Sarah Marshall."
"I’ve had so many injuries, I actually ripped out a little piece of my neck off in "Sarah Marshall"," Kunis recently said, proudly showing us her prominent mark. "It happened when we were in the water; Jason (Segal) is holding my neck. He’s holding it because I’m bleeding; you only see half my neck. The other side is gushing."
Oh, the things we do for money.
Khloe Kardashian: Why Was the Newlywed So Upset?
Khloe Kardashian should be over-the-moon having just tied-the-knot to Lamar Odom on Sunday, but the newlywed appeared uncharacteristically upset on Tuesday night at the UNITE Unveiled featuring Gen Art’s "Fresh Faces in Fashion" party in West Hollywood.
The two made their first public appearance together at the bash since the quickie wedding, although Kardashian reportedly sought the comfort of her girlfriends over hubby.
"Khloe’s friends were trying to keep her from getting upset," said an inside source. "She came to the party at about 10 p.m. but sat in the lobby from about 11 until 12 with her hair in front of her face and looked really upset."
Many were also questioning why the couple wasn’t on their honeymoon, but Tarts has learned that the L.A. Lakers commenced training camp this week and there was no way star player Odom could get out of it.
But according to several sources close to Odom, Khloe’s downer night had nothing to do with her marriage and the high-profile duo simply couldn’t be happier together. Even the little Kardashian sisters Kylie, 12, and Kendall, 13, think they'll "last forever."
"If you’re in love, rush anything," Kylie Jenner gushed at the Selena Gomez album release party on Tuesday, while Kendall stayed mum on whether or not Kim Kardashian and Reggie Bush have really reunited.
"I heard it on the radio and I asked my mom if it was true and she said ‘I really don’t know!’ So we honestly don't know! We love Reggie. We have these hamsters and they ran away one time in our house so Reggie was helping us catch them and he found them living under our couch! He was on his hands and knees, lifting our couch."
