Former "Hollywood Madam" Heidi Fleiss is joining the cast of the VH1 reality show "Celebrity Rehab With Dr. Drew," set to begin filming the second week of June.
A source close to the show's production team said they're thrilled to have Fleiss.
"Heidi was on our dream cast (which also included Lindsay Lohan and Britney Spears), and we can’t believe we got one!"
Regarding the notorious ex-madam’s involvement with the show, Dr. Drew’s rep said, "No comment," but Fleiss' rep, Richard Pullman, said she's ready for rehab.
"Heidi is prepared to take rehab seriously so other people don’t have to be ashamed to have the disease of addiction," he told FOXNews.com.
Although the show attempted to get Fleiss' former boyfriend, "Saving Private Ryan" star Tom Sizemore, as another member of the cast, the actor declined to go through rehab, our source said.
Fleiss, 42, was admitted under court order to Impact Rehabilitation Center in 1995, before her 1997 conviction in connection with her high-profile prostitution ring, which included celebrity client Charlie Sheen.
In February, Fleiss was arrested on charges of illegal possession of prescription drugs and driving under the influence.
Past "Celebrity Rehab With Dr. Drew" cast members include Brigitte Nielsen, "American Idol" singer Jessica Sierra and wrestling star Chyna.
From intake to graduation, the reality series chronicles celebrities as they make the choice to enter into drug, alcohol and addiction rehab. The audience witnesses the gruesome elements of withdrawal; some rehabbers don’t make it all the way to graduation.
In the show's first season, actor Daniel Baldwin left during the fourth episode after clashing with castmate adult film star Mary Carey. "Taxi" star Jeff Conaway left during the seventh episode in order to undergo surgery for his back.
