A mortar round exploded near Iraq's central bank on Sunday, injuring 10 people in the capital, including six policemen, a senior police officer said.
The blast occurred during rush hour in a shopping district in central Baghdad. Parts of the area were sealed off to ordinary traffic because of security precautions.
The shell landed about 300 yards from the bank but did not damage it, said Brig. Ali al-Mousawi, who is responsible for security at the bank.
