Eight men involved in a global pedophile network have been found guilty of 54 crimes, including the sexual assault of a three-month-old baby.
The landmark case reportedly uncovered some of the worst child pornography that police experts had ever seen, the Daily Telegraph reported. It also broke up Scotland's biggest pedophile ring, which was fronted by two community leaders — James Rennie, 38, the chief executive of LGBT Youth Scotland and a former secondary school teacher; and Neil Strachan, 41, reportedly a gay rights activist and and former secretary of the Celtic East Boys Club.
Investigators seized more than 125,000 images in the case, which was investigated from February 2004 to May 2008 and spanned from the U.S. to the Netherlands.

Some evidence was so disturbing that the court considered giving jurors counseling at the end of the case, the Telegraph reported.
The men will be sentenced at a later date.
