The murder of a pregnant aspiring model found dead in her home this week was premeditated, police said.
Authorities believe the killing of Suzette Aponte, 19, and the savage beating of her fiancé in East Orange County, Fla., was drug related — though it doesn't appear that Aponte was involved, according to MyFOXOrlando.com.
"It is our feeling they went there intentionally to murder these two people, that they were not going to leave that home with either of the two alive," said Sgt. Allen Lee of the Orange County Sheriff's Office.
Detectives theorize that her fiancé was involved with drugs, knew his attacker and let the person into the couple's house Tuesday night, MyFOXOrlando.com said. The motive likely was robbery, cops told WFTV in Orlando.
Aponte was pregnant with her first baby. She and her 22-year-old fiancé just moved into the neighborhood about two months ago.
The man, whom police won't name, is recovering and cooperating with the investigation.
Authorities are working on getting a composite sketch of the suspect.
