Dallas Man Allegedly Locks Mentally Disabled Girlfriend in Cube Truck in Sweltering Heat

A Dallas man faces charges for allegedly locking his mentally disabled girlfriend in the back of a box truck in near 100 degree heat.

Authorities found handicapped Latisha Morris, 21, in the truck after worried family members called police, MyFOXDFW reported. Police found the sliding door of the truck padlocked and hammered shut with nails.

Morris’ family told MyFOXDFW that her boyfriend Harvey Ray Moss, 50, also physically abused her, carving his initials into her flesh.

Morris has the mental capacity of a child, and was found disoriented and dehydrated inside the truck. She is now recovering at home, her stepmother Barbara Henson Reed told MyFOXDFW.

Moss faces felony charges of injury to a mentally disabled individual and family violence.
