CHICAGO – Party time is over for taxi driver John Rees' popular "party cab," Chicago officials said.
Rees, 43, has tricked out his cab with stickers, decals and bobbleheads on the outside and singing stuffed animals and lights inside.
The taxi violates regulations and has ordered the decorations be removed by Thursday, city officials said.
The decorations, which cover almost every square inch of the vehicle, are just harmless fun, Rees said.
But the city's Department of Consumer Services called the cab a safety hazard and said it won't let Rees drive it until he's in compliance with city codes.
