Police say a car bomb has exploded north of the Iraqi capital, killing two people and injuring four others, including a deputy provincial governor.
The car exploded in a town about 45 miles north of Baghdad (search). A police official says the dead and three of the injured were bodyguards for the wounded deputy governor.
The car, laden with explosives, was believed to have been detonated by remote control as the deputy governor was traveling to work in a small convoy. It's not known who carried out the attack.
