Boston Subway Train Derails; No Injuries Reported
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}A car on a Boston subway train has derailed, but authorities say no injuries were reported.
Boston-area transit spokesman Joe Pesaturo says the fourth car of a six-car train left the tracks of the city's "T" system just after 4 p.m. Tuesday.
It happened shortly after the train left the Alewife station in suburban Cambridge.
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}He says 65 passengers safely evacuated. He says service between the Alewife and Harvard stops was suspended in both directions.
Buses are carting commuters until service is restored.
A train and trolley collided in May in Boston and injured dozens of people. Several people were injured when two trains collided in suburban Newton in 2008.
