Or charismatic performers.
Or viable premises.

At least that’s the conclusion you reach after searching the year’s vast array of badness to try to come up with a list of the 10 worst shows and moments.

Though ours is heavily weighted toward reality shows, there were plenty of scripted series that floundered around trying to attract viewers, critical praise, or at least a little attention.
In most cases it didn’t work, so we’ve decided to take pity on them and give them a little love here.
But first, our dishonorable mentions: Tyra Banks dressing up on America’s Next Top Model (the CW); Cloris Leachman working her cleavage on Dancing With the Stars (ABC); Spencer on The Hills (MTV); Hole in the Wall (Fox); I Love Money (VH1); John McCain snubbing The Late Show With David Letterman (CBS); Paris Hilton’s My New BFF (MTV); A Shot at Love With Tila Tequila 2 (MTV); Russell Brand hosting the Video Music Awards (MTV); Welcome to the Captain (CBS) and Wipeout (ABC).
