Adam Sandler, Jack Nicholson and James Cameron

Adam Sandler, Jack Nicholson, a lot of corpses and a ghost James Cameron is fond of are all in the eerie underwater glare of The Foxlight.
The only anger audiences may have to manage this weekend is their contempt for Adam Sandler and Jack Nicholson over Anger Management. That's according to some critics, who say Adam may be blind when it comes to supposed comedies -- can you say Little Nicky or Mr. Deeds? But Nicholson should know better. Others point out that, in a war-weary environment, a high-concept lowbrow comedy is just what the script doctor ordered. We'll see -- it certainly doesn't have much in the way of competition. These two could surprisingly 'bring down the house' liek Steve Martin and Queen Latifah did a few weeks back.
And speaking of not much competition, how does something called House of 1,000 Corpses sound? If it seems like bad timing with images of debris on the nightly news, then I agree. This is one movie title that should have been a wartime casualty -- even if it is a harmless scarefest.

Finally, if you're near an IMAX theater, James Cameron wants you to visit the Titanic again. This time, it is a literally overblown documentary called Ghosts of the Abyss. This time around, the images are the real thing -- and there's no DiCaprio. Bill Paxton does the talking. Warning: if you're on aa first date, you're going to look goofy in those 3D glasses. In fact, you're going to look goofy no matter what.
