OCALA, Fla. – Two children are dead and a third is clinging to life after a boat capsized at a popular central Florida lake.
Authorities say the accident happened Sunday afternoon on Lake George when a violent storm churned up waves three to four feet high.
Four-year-old Dennis Clayton Lennon of Umatilla and 14-year-old Ciara Puskas of Eustis, were killed in the capsizing. Fish and wildlife officials say they were trapped inside the cabin when the boat overturned.
A 5-year-old boy remains in intensive care; a 36-year-old adult is hospitalized in serious condition. Two other children and the man who was piloting the boat were uninjured.
