SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. – A small plane crashed early Friday on a California freeway median, killing one person in the aircraft and slowing rush-hour traffic, fire officials said.
The single-engine Piper came down in a hilly pass on Interstate 15 in San Bernardino County. There was no fire.
One person was found dead inside the plane.
Traffic continued to flow but gawkers made it a slow morning commute.
