Cincinnati, OH (SportsNetwork.com) - Xavier men's basketball coach Chris Mack had his contract extended by one year through the 2020-21 season, the school announced Wednesday.
Mack, who signed a two-year contract extension last May, led the Musketeers to a Sweet 16 appearance in the NCAA Tournament this season. They lost to Arizona to finish with a 23-14 record.
"Our basketball program is pointed in a positive direction," said Xavier athletic director Greg Christopher. "Chris and his staff are working tirelessly to achieve our ultimate goal of reaching a Final Four and competing for a national championship. A critical part of our direction is the right leadership - and Chris is the right leader for our team."
