Vaughn Duggins scored 28 points to lead Wright State over Illinois-Chicago 69-63 on Saturday night.

The Raiders (16-9, 9-4 Horizon League) led 37-23 at halftime after ending the half on an 18-6 run. Wright State was 5 of 9 from 3-point range (55.6 percent) and made all four of its free-throw attempts in the first half.

The Flames (6-18, 1-11) cut their deficit to as little as five, 65-60, with 54 seconds left to play, but the Raiders went 4 for 4 from the line to preserve the win.

N'Gai Evans added 18 points for Wright State, which finished 17 of 19 from the free-throw line (89.5 percent). The Raiders were outrebounded 38-22, but scored 23 points off 19 turnovers and posted a 25-14 scoring edge in the paint.

Robo Kreps scored 20 points and Paul Carter added 18 and 11 rebounds for the Flames, who have lost 11 of their last 12 games.
