Cody Worley threw three touchdown passes as Furman opened its season with a 45-15 victory over Colgate on Saturday.
Worley was only 9-for-14 for 113 yards, but made them count with scoring strikes of 19, 10 and 3 yards that padded the Paladins' lead from 10-7 with 3:58 left in the first half to 31-7 with 14:57 to go in the game.
Chris Forcier added 130 yards on seven carries, including an 85-yard run that gave Furman a 38-7 lead.

Tersoo Uhaa who had scored on a 3-yard TD catch, added a 1-yard touchdown run with 30 seconds to go.
The Paladins won their 20 straight nonconference game at home since 1999.
Furman had 536 total yards, doubling Colgate's 260, while holding the Raiders (1-1) to 51 passing yards.

Colgate's Nate Eachus had 134 yards on 28 carries with one touchdown to become the 15th Raiders running back to rush for 2,000 yards.
