Wolverhampton midfielder Jamie O'Hara has been ruled out for the remainder of the season after undergoing groin surgery.

O'Hara has struggled to regain full fitness after having double hernia surgery at the end of last year. And although he appeared in a win over QPR in February and four subsequent matches, he required painkilling injections to play and was shut down for four weeks to start a rehab program.

But Wolves announced on Wednesday that O'Hara has had an operation that will keep him out for the rest of the season.

The 25-year-old scored two goals in 19 league matches for Wolves, which sits on the bottom of the league and six points from safety.
