New York, NY (SportsNetwork.com) - Andrew Wiggins and Jabari Parker, the top two picks of the 2014 NBA Draft, each began their debut seasons by being chosen as the league's Western and Eastern Conference Rookie of the Month, respectively, for October/November.
Top overall choice Wiggins averaged 11.6 points and shot 44 percent from 3- point range in 16 games for the Minnesota Timberwolves. The 19-year-old twice scored 20 or more points, including a 29-point effort against Sacramento on Nov. 22.
Parker topped all NBA rookies by averaging 11.9 points in 19 games for the Milwaukee Bucks, highlighted by a 23-point performance in a triple-overtime win over Brooklyn on Nov. 19. The former Duke forward added 6.1 rebounds and 1.3 steals.
