Mirabel, QC – Defending champion Michelle Wie posted a four- round co-leader Ai Miyazato and tour rookie Tiffany Joh atop the leaderboard after the third round of the Canadian Women's Open.
Wie, Miyazato (71) and Joh (65) are knotted at 12-under 204 and are one stroke clear at Hillside Golf & Country Club.
Second-round co-leader Angela Stanford was tied for the lead until a terrible drive at 17 cost her a bogey. She shot an even-par 72 and is tied for fourth with Brittany Lincicome, who carded a three-under 69 on Saturday.
Wie may not have won her title at this venue last year (she titled at St. Charles Country Club), but this could be the first successful title defense of her young career.
Miyazato will be looking for her eighth LPGA Tour title and Joh is winless in her rookie campaign.
Jiyai Shin (69), Na Yeon Choi (69), Cristie Kerr (69), Becky Morgan (70) and Song-Hee Kim (71) are knotted in sixth place at 10-under 206.
