NEW YORK (Reuters) - Veteran cornerback Lito Sheppard has joined the Minnesota Vikings, the NFL team said on Wednesday.

The 29-year-old Sheppard, drafted in the first round in 2002 by Philadelphia, spent seven years with the Eagles before joining the New York Jets last season.

He has played in 104 games and became the first player to return two interceptions for touchdowns of more than 100 yards with a 102-yard score in 2006 and another for 101-yards in 2004.
