Minneapolis, MN (SportsNetwork.com) - The Minnesota Vikings signed linebacker Casey Matthews and safety Taylor Mays on Tuesday.
Mays, a five-year veteran, spent the past four seasons with Cincinnati and totaled nine tackles, a sack and a safety in 16 contests in 2014.
A second-round pick of San Francisco in 2010, he was traded to Cincinnati a year later.
Over 66 games during his career, which has included 10 starts, Mays has totaled 98 tackles, one sack, six passes defensed and a safety.
Matthews spent his first four seasons with the Philadelphia Eagles and in 2014totaled 62 tackles and 1 1/2 sacks in 16 games (11 starts).
The Oregon product, who was taken by Philadelphia in the fourth round of the 2011 draft, totaled 72 tackles and 2 1/2 sacks in 65 games (15 starts) with the Eagles.
