Vikings make it a perfect preseason with win over Titans

Nashville, TN (SportsNetwork.com) - Joe Banyard ran for 111 yards on 11 carries as the Minnesota Vikings concluded a perfect preseason with a 19-3 win over the Tennessee Titans.
Rookie Teddy Bridgewater started and threw a touchdown pass on the game's first drive. He was 4-of-9 for 17 yards before being replaced by Christian Ponder, who finished with 121 yards on 12-of-15 passing.
Earlier this week, veteran Matt Cassel was named the Vikings' starting quarterback. Minnesota, which went 4-0 in the preseason, opens the regular season at St. Louis on Sept. 7.

Rookie Zach Mettenberger got the start at quarterback for Tennessee and completed 12-of-17 passes for 154 yards.
The Titans were 2-2 in the preseason and will play at Kansas City on Sept. 7.
