Utah routs USC in Pac-12 opener

Salt Lake City, UT (SportsNetwork.com) - Jordan Loveridge scored 14 points with six rebounds as No. 10 Utah thumped USC, 79-55, in the Pac-12 opener for both schools.
Delon Wright had 11 points and 10 assists and Brandon Taylor gave 11 points and five boards for the Utes (11-2, 1-0 Pac-12), who have won four straight.
Nikola Jovanovic and Malik Martin each scored 14 points with six rebounds for the Trojans (8-5, 0-1), who had a two-game winning streak snapped.

A Wright layup six minutes in gave the Utes a 14-7 lead, and a 7-0 run later in the half gave the team a 21-9 advantage after Chris Reyes put in a layup.
The Utes began the second half with a 39-24 advantage, and built it to 48-26 when Dallin Bachynski hit a jumper three minutes in.
USC tried to keep it close as a Jovanovic dunk got the team within 57-40 with 12 minutes to play, but Kenneth Ogbe and Dakarai Tucker followed with consecutive 3s, and Utah's lead never fell below 19 the rest of the way.
