WILMINGTON, N.C. – Trevor Deloach hit a 3-pointer at the buzzer as North Carolina-Wilmington defeated Georgia State 59-56 on Wednesday night.
It was the only field goal of the game for Deloach, who finished with five points.
Chad Tomko led the Seahawks (8-6, 2-1 Colonial Athletic Association) with 19 points and 10 rebounds and had the assist on the game-winner.
Georgia State (7-6, 2-1) took a 56-54 lead on Marques Johnson's jumper with 1:36 left, but UNC Wilmington tied the score on Keith Rendleman's jumper with 56 seconds left.
Georgia State's Josh Micheaux missed a shot with 21 seconds left and Rendleman grabbed the rebound to set up Deloach's game-winning shot.
There were six ties and seven lead changes in the game.
Rendleman finished with 18 points.
Dante Curry led Georgia State, which had a three-game winning streak snapped, with 27 points.
