UNC Asheville holds off Gardner-Webb 57-54

Matt Dickey scored 18 points and North Carolina-Asheville held off Gardner-Webb 57-54 on Saturday night to sweep the season series.
A Dickey 3-pointer gave the Bulldogs (13-11, 8-6 Big South Conference) a 56-50 lead with 1:27 left. Gardner-Webb's Jon Moore then made two free throws, followed by an offensive rebound and a jumper for 56-54 with 40 seconds left.
After Chris Davis missed the back end of a 1-and-1 with 32 seconds to go, the Runnin' Bulldogs rebounded with a chance to tie.

Luke Davis' 3-point attempt with 0.7 seconds left bounced off the rim twice, giving UNC Asheville its third win in four games.
The game was tied 24-24 at halftime. The last five in the series have been decided in the last minute, with the Bulldogs 5-0, including a 68-59 victory on Jan. 15.
Moore's 15 points led Gardner-Webb (8-18, 3-11), which has lost five of its last six.
