Matt Dickey and John Williams scored 18 points apiece to lead six players in double figures as North Carolina-Asheville topped Virginia Military Institute 100-87 on Saturday.

The Bulldogs (11-10, 6-5 Big South Conference) shot a season-high 60.3 percent from the floor (38 of 63) and outscored the Keydets 64-32 in the paint.

Toles Hartman scored 16, J.P. Primm and Chris Stephenson each added 13 and Jaron Lane 11 for UNC-Asheville, which made all 13 of its free-throw attempts in the second half.

VMI (12-9, 5-6) trailed by as many as 19, 96-77, with 2:19 left to play.

Stan Okoye scored 19 points and Keith Gabriel added 18 for the Keydets, who came into the game as the nation's highest-scoring team, putting up 91.8 points per game.

Michael Sparks had 14 points, D.J. Covington added 11 and Rodney Glasgow and Austin Kenon 10 apiece for VMI.
