Uncasville, CT (SportsNetwork.com) - Breanna Stewart tallied 20 points, nine rebounds and six assists as No. 1 Connecticut will head into the NCAA Tournament unbeaten after a 72-52 takedown of third-ranked Louisville in the inaugural AAC title game on Monday.
Bria Hartley and Kaleena Mosqueda-Lewis donated 16 and 13 points, respectively, while Stefanie Dolson pulled down a game-high 16 boards for the Huskies (34-0).
Connecticut won every game this season by at least 11 points.
Shoni Schimmel shot just 7-of-25 from the floor to pace Louisville (30-4) with 20 points in defeat.
Three of the Cardinals' four losses have come at the hands of UConn by an average of 19 points. Louisville fell to 0-13 against the Huskies under head coach Jeff Walz.
The heavily favored Huskies jumped out to an 8-0 lead just over a minute into the game. Mosqueda-Lewis swooped in for a transition layup at 18:43 after Stewart and Hartley canned 3-pointers.
Sara Hammond's triple cut Louisville's deficit to 13-8 5:40 in, but a pair of Stewart free throws sparked a 14-2 Connecticut surge. Stewart hit two jumpers at the end of the first half to push the spread to 40-22 at intermission.
The Cardinals went more than five minutes without scoring midway through the second half, as UConn rolled to the finish line.
