Tyler Moore homers twice, Ross Detwiler throws 4 solid innings as Nationals beat Tigers 12-10

Tyler Moore homered twice and had three RBIs to lead the Washington Nationals past the Detroit Tigers 12-10 on Sunday.
Ross Detwiler started for Washington in his first game back since pitching for the United States in the World Baseball Classic. He allowed three hits and a run in four innings on a long homer by Torii Hunter in the first.
Chris Marrero also drove in three runs for the Nationals.

Prince Fielder and Victor Martinez each had two RBIs for Detroit.
Drew Smyly started for the Tigers and gave up five earned runs in four innings. Smyly is competing with Rick Porcello for the final spot in the rotation. The left-hander began the spring with nine scoreless innings, but has been hit hard in his past two starts.
