Tyler Haws scores 25, BYU beats San Diego 78-70 and wraps up No. 2 seed in WCC tournament

Tyler Haws had 25 points and BYU wrapped up the No. 2 seed in the West Coast Conference tournament with a 78-70 win at San Diego Saturday.
Kyle Collinsworth gave the Cougars (21-10, 13-5) a 70-65 lead on a 3-pointer with 1:28 left. Nate Austin stole the ball from Johnny Dee and BYU scored six more points to extend to 76-65 with 25 seconds to go.
BYU trailed 58-56 when Haws hit a jumper that sparked an 11-2 run. A Jito Kok dunk and a Chris Anderson 3-pointer cut San Diego's deficit to 67-65 with 2 minutes to go.

Anderson had 22 points, six assists and four steals, and Kok had 10 points and 10 rebounds for the Toreros (16-15, 7-11).
Matt Carlino was 3 of 6 from 3-point range with 14 points and six assists for BYU which was 9 of 16 as a team from distance.
