Twins' Capps comes off DL

The Minnesota Twins reinstated right-hander Matt Capps off the 15-day disabled list on Friday.

Capps had been on the DL since June 25, retroactive to June 24, with right shoulder inflammation. In two rehab appearances with Single-A Fort Myers, he gave up one unearned run on one hit over two innings.

He had converted all but one of his 15 save opportunities this season prior to landing on the DL. Overall, he had compiled a 1-4 record with a 3.42 ERA in 27 games.

In a corresponding move, the Twins optioned pitcher Kyle Waldrop to Triple-A Rochester.
