Towson, MD (SportsNetwork.com) - Towson football coach Rob Ambrose said former Miami quarterback Kevin Olsen was dismissed from the Tigers' program recently for a violation of team rules.
Olsen, the younger brother of Carolina Panthers tight end Greg Olsen, had signed with Towson two months ago. The four-star recruit from Wayne, New Jersey, was suspended three times at Miami and left after a DUI arrest.
At Towson, which reached the 2013 FCS national championship game but fell to 4-8 last year, Olsen was expected to challenge returning starter Connor Frazier for No. 1 quarterback duties.

"The relationship we had with the kid and his family has gone on for quite some time, and everybody was pretty much assured that this would work out for the positive," Ambrose told the Baltimore Sun. "So it's disappointing for Kevin, it's disappointing for us, and we'll just move on."
