Top prospect Shane Ray cited for marijuana possession

(SportsNetwork.com) - Former Missouri defensive end/outside linebacker and highly-regarded prospect Shane Ray was cited for marijuana possession following a traffic violation early Monday morning.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol online arrest report, Ray, who is projected to be a first-round selection in the upcoming NFL draft, was pulled over for "failing to drive in the right lane of the highway with two or more lanes."
The traffic stop led to the discovery of Ray's possession of 35 grams or less of marijuana, a misdemeanor offense.

The 21-year-old was named SEC Defensive Player of the Year last season, recording 65 tackles and 14 1/2 sacks in 14 games during his junior season with the Tigers.
