Titans tight end Walker: Was unconscious after hit, agreed with decision to sit out 1 game

Titans tight end Delanie Walker says the hit that gave him a concussion left him unconscious for a couple minutes, and he agreed with Tennessee's decision to miss a game to help him heal.

Walker said Wednesday that the Titans holding him out Monday night against Pittsburgh was a smart move by the team and by himself. He says he wants to make sure he has his mind after his career is over.

The nine-year veteran had to be carted off the field Nov. 9 when hit by Ravens safety Terrence Brooks. He will meet with an independent doctor Thursday and is expected to be cleared before visiting Philadelphia on Sunday.

Walker says this was the fourth concussion of his career and easily the worst.
