Timeout gaffe costs Clemson in 72-70 loss to Gardner-Webb in Paradise Jam
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}Clemson freshman Donte Grantham called time out when the Tigers didn't have any and Jarvis Davis made two late free throws to capitalize and give Gardner-Webb a 72-70 victory in the first round of the Paradise Jam on Friday.
After Davis knocked down the free throws for the Runnin' Bulldogs (2-1), Clemson (1-2) had three shots at the rim but could not convert as the buzzer sounded.
Tyler Strange scored 19 points to lead Gardner-Webb, including a 3-pointer with 6.6 seconds left to tie the game and set up more drama in the finish.
