PORTLAND, Ore. – The Portland Timbers have signed goalie Adin Brown and defender Steve Purdy from last season's second-division club as the team readies for its inaugural Major League Soccer season.
Brown played with the Timbers last season after four years in Norway with Aalesund FC. Before that, he spent five seasons in MLS with the Colorado Rapids, the Tampa Bay Mutiny and the New England Revolution.
Purdy played in 24 games with the Timbers last season. He Played in Germany for two seasons before playing for FC Dallas in 2009.
