Taylor Hall scored two goals to lead the Edmonton Oilers over the Winnipeg Jets 3-1 on Monday night.

Mark Fayne also scored for the Oilers, who improved to 3-2 in exhibition play.

Mathieu Perreault had a goal for the Jets, who fell to 1-3.

Edmonton scored on its first shot 3 minutes into the game. Vladimir Tkachev made a cross-ice pass to Fayne that he fired high to the glove side past Winnipeg goalie Michael Hutchinson. It was Tkachev's third assist in three games with the Oilers.

Jets forward Patrice Cormier left early in the third after it appeared a broken stick hit him near the eye.
