Tampa Bay Rays rookie Chris Archer has left his start against the Arizona Diamondbacks after throwing a pitch in the second inning.
The right-hander allowed a run in the first on Wednesday night and got two outs in the second before leaving with a 2-1 count against Didi Gregorius.
Tampa Bay's trainer and manager Joe Maddon came out to the mound, and Archer had a disgusted look on his face as they talked to him. Maddon called Alex Torres out of the bullpen and Archer was consoled by teammates before walking off the field.
