Phoenix, AZ (SportsNetwork.com) - The Phoenix Suns announced Wednesday that guard Leandro Barbosa sustained a broken left hand during the team's last outing, an injury that could sideline him for the remainder of the regular season.
Barbosa hurt his hand while taking a charge against Chris Paul in the first quarter of Tuesday's 104-96 loss to the Los Angeles Clippers. The veteran journeyman will not require surgery, but the Arizona Republic reported he is expected to be out between 4-to-6 weeks.
The 31-year-old has averaged 7.5 points, 1.9 rebounds and 1.6 assists over 20 games since signing with the Suns on Jan. 8.
