Sterling Carter scores 19 with 5 3-pointers to lead Purdue in 82-64 romp against Indiana

Sterling Carter had 19 points, including five 3-pointers, to lead Purdue to an 82-64 win against rival Indiana on Saturday.
Purdue (15-10, 5-7 Big Ten) used a 19-1 run that began in the first half's final 36 seconds and carried through the first five minutes of the second half as the springboard to victory.
Carter scored Purdue's first 10 second-half points, including a pair of 3-pointers that helped extend a 38-33 halftime advantage to 52-34 with 15 minutes remaining.

Purdue was well on its way to taking a 103-88 lead in the all-time series.
The victory snapped the Boilermakers' four-game losing streak against the Hoosiers who had won those four by an average of 23.3 points.
It was the third consecutive Big Ten loss for Indiana (14-11, 4-8) since upsetting 10th-ranked Michigan on Feb. 2 in Bloomington.
