Starters score all of Detroit's points in Titans' 83-78 win over Canisius

Ray McCallum scored 22 points to lead Detroit to an 83-78 victory over Canisius on Sunday.

The starting five scored all of the points for the Titans (8-5). Jason Calliste had 19 points, Nick Minnerath scored 16, and Doug Anderson and Juwan Howard Jr. had 13 points apiece. McCallum also had seven assists for Detroit, which is 7-0 at home.

Billy Baron led the Golden Griffins (9-4) with 20 points and eight rebounds. Jordan Heath and Isaac Sosa had 17 points apiece, and Harold Washington scored 13 points for Canisius.

Detroit has won 15 home games in a row dating to last season. The Titans open their Horizon League schedule Thursday at home against Milwaukee, while Canisius begins Metro Atlantic play Thursday at home against Fairfield.
